Kidlington - Away

First Game Won 1-4

Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Ross McMahon,Jack Tutton,Lester Davies,Leyton Brandon.

The lads responded extremely well after losing their tournament final on Saturday, I did wonder how it would affect them but they passed, played as a team and responded exactly, if not more than I have witnessed all season, they got their rewards with Tremayne Barrett,Ross McMahon,Jack Tutton and Leyton Brandon all scoring. These lads have lost only one game and drawn three all season in the two team league 1st game and one tournament final that is fantastic stats at any age but amazing at this very young age, they have been so consistent all season that it has been a pleasure to be involved with.

Second Game Lost 2-1

Team:Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Thomas Van Gucci,Jordan Lawson,Robbie Morton,Cameron Gray (Lochie Craig),Joesph Hastings Halftime Sub in Brackets.

These lads knew they couldn't let more than three goals to draw and only two goals to win, They all battled for every ball,Both teams could have scored more goals and both teams created many chances as the game opened up after the first goal with end to end action, All the lads deserved their 3-5 victory last night for the amount of determination and effort they all gave.
Cameron Innes eased the scoreline preesure when we were 2-0 down with a powerful freekick into roof of the net from long distance.

Third Game Won 0-4

Team: Jordan Lawson,Kieron Massingham(Cameron Gray),Jack Tutton(Joesph Hastings),Malcolm Blinder,Jamie Smith,Ben Smith,Lochie Craig(Robbie Morton)

This game saw everyone play a full game if they hadn't yet and let the younger players have a good run out, Malcolm Blinder scored a superb Hat trick and Joesph Hastings completed the scoreline.

Kennington Tournament

The weather was fantastic on Saturday morning we were placed in Group B with Oxford Irish,Horspath,Wantage Concords and Quarry Rovers. We have not played any of these teams this season as they have competed in the one team leagues.
First game we lost 1-0 to Oxford Irish,Second Game drew 0-0 with Horspath,Third game won 3-0 against Quarry Rovers with Jack Tutton scoring a hat trick in this straight 8 minute game,Third game won 1-0 against Wantage Concords with Lester Davies scoring with a thunder bolt shot.
We progressed through to the Quarter finals finishing Runners up with 8 points to Oxford Irish in Group B
We met Garsington in the Quarter finals and won 2-0 with Ross McMahon and Jack Tutton scoring.
In the Semi finals we met St Edmunds 'B' and won 3-0 with Ross McMahon scoring two and Jack Tutton.
In the Final we met Oxford Irish and lost 3-0,the team who scored first would win this six minute each way game and it was Oxford Irish, then with two own goals completed the disapointing scoreline, but after losing our first game to Oxford Irish and getting to the final against a team unbeaten on the day and who were consistent all day, our lads reacted really well after a slow start to reach the final from a difficult group.

Well done lads and better luck next time.

Radley-Home

First Game Won 4-2

Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Ross McMahon,Jack Tutton,Lester Davies,Leyton Brandon.

This was always going to be a hard two games this morning as Radley had beaten us 1-0 and 1-0 in our earlier game in the season with Radley being unbeaten in two seasons of friendly games and Tournaments they have been the team to beat by everyone in this age group after this amazing run.

We started extremely well with Lester Davies scoring two well taken goals and he was unlucky not to have a first half hat trick when he hit the bar from an acute angle, Ross McMahon bounced on a loose ball in the box and made it 3-0 at half time,The second half saw Radley reorganise and strike back with two quick goals but with a well taken strike from outside the box Jack Tutton ensured a two goal cushion for the second game. The lads all battled for every ball to ensure this win.

Second Game Lost 0-1

Team:Kieron Massingham,Thomas Dunning,Thomas Van Gucci,Jordan Lawson,Robbie Morton,Joesph Dunning,Joesph Hastings(Lockie Craig) Second Half Sub in Brackets.

These lads knew they couldn't let more than two goals to draw and only one goal to win, They all battled for every ball, header, throw in etc..Both teams could have scored more goals and both teams created many chances as the game opened up after the first goal with end to end action of last ditch tackles and counter attacking football, All the lads deserved their 4-3 victory this morning for the amount of determination and effort they all gave this morning.

Well done lads and see you all training Wednesday.

Grove-Home

1st Game Won 3-1

Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Ross McMahon,Jack Tutton,Lester Davies,Leyton Brandon.

This game started with us taking the kick off giving the ball straight to a Grove player who then ran all the way through and scored, all in 12 seconds ! We were all still asleep. We managed to get back into the game with a great lay off from Lester Davies for Leyton Brandon to finish with a great strike from the edge of the box,Ross McMahon added a second before Half time.In the second half alot of the game was contested in the middle of the pitch with Ross MaMahon finishing well after a goal mouth scramble. Our defense pairing of Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett dealt with everything thrown at them after the goal was conceded and showed great character in the game.
A great response and result after starting so slowly against a team clearly up for the game this morning.

2nd Game Won 2-0

Team:Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Thomas Van Gucci,Jordon Lawson,Malcolm Blinder,Joesph Hastings,Jamie Smith.

This game was just as intensive as the first with Jordan Lawson scoring from close range after a great run and shot by Malcolm Blinder then Jordon Lawson pounce on the rebound.Joesph Hastings turned and finished with a difficult volley in the box from a corner. All the lads in this game didn't want to surrender our lead from the first game and showed great sprit.

3rd Game Lost 2-3

Team:Jack Tutton(Kieron Massingham),Kieron Massingham (Jack Tutton),James Rule,Leyton Brandon(Joesph Hastings,Jordon Lawson 5mins),Locky(Jamie Smith 5mins),Tate Rogers(Lester Davies,Cameron Innes 5mins),Ross McMahon(Thomas Van Gucci,Malcolm Blinder 5mins).

This game saw everybody play,Half time changes in brackets and halfway through the second half another wave of changes to give everybody a good run out on a lovely morning.Goals Scored by Ross McMahon and Locky in a see saw game, one minute winning another minute losing.

Didcot B - Away

On a bitterly cold morning with a cold wind, and after a 25 minute ride in a warm car. I wasn't expecting us to perform to our usual standards as the weather does affect all kids, and can prevent them enjoying the game or playing well, anything can throw them off their game at this young age,Hair not gelled!!, Favorite or lucky shinpads/boots not on,What's for dinner later..,laces not tight enough etc..., Priceless.

1st Game Drew 0-0
Team Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Ross McMahon,Jack Tutton,Lester Davies,Leyton Brandon.

We started brightly and held possession for the majority of the game but created very few clear cut chances for all the possession and the few we had, we missed the lot, I told the lads I think they had cling film covering their goal,It just wouldn't go in,One of those day's we have all experienced in football !!, Didcot blocked, saved, tackled and defended very attack or threat we had and were very hard to penerate and contested every ball, Great game to watch with supporters from both sides appaulding individual or team moves or shots,Brillant.

2nd Game Drew 0-0
Team Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Thomas Van Gucci,Jordan Lawson,Joesph Hastings,Thomas Dunning,Malcolm Blinder.

This game was very evenly matched with both sides going for the win after the 1st Game draw,Didcot were very unlucky not to score when a goal bound shot struck the crossbar and we had a couple of goal mouth scrambles that wouldn't go in, Great end to end stuff and even more frantic in the last couple of minutes with both sides wanting to score,Both teams had a couple of one on ones to add to the excitement,A draw today was well earned by both sides.

3rd Game Won 0-3
Team Jack Tutton,Kieron Massingham(Joesph Hastings)(Tremayne Barrett),Ross McMahon(Tate Rogers)(Cameron Innes),Cameron Gray,Jamie Smith,Ben Smith,Leyton Brandon(Lester Davies),(Thomas Van Gucci)Half time changes in brackets,second brackets changes made with 5 minutes to go.

This game was when I think we managed to warm up and remember were the goal was, Leyton Brandon made it one nil in the first half with a neat turn and low finish,The second half was when Ben Smith scored two goals from close range to complete the scoreline and the lads did perform well today and have done week in week out for me all season.

Didcot-Home

This game was always going to be close as Didcot had scored a couple more goals than us and conceded a few less before today on the same games played.

First Game Won 2-1

Team Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Ross McMahon,Jack Tutton,Lester Davies,Leyton Brandon.

This game started at a very fine pace with OCC having the lion share of the possession which bared no fruits for our efforts, Then Leyton Brandon pounced on a loose ball outside the box turned ran and fininshed clinically from within the box, Didcot had one golden chance in the first half which I do not think anybody watching could believe it didn't end in a goal it was blocked, tackled and saved in seconds by Jack,Tate and Kieron,All hands to the pump stuff.Half time 1-0.
The second half started as well as the first and luckily we scored after a Tremayne Barrett corner was side foot finished by Jack Tutton from close range, Didcot then had their possession of the game as every game usually has it's twists and turns,We were now under pressure but matched our oppenents.Didcot scored after a freekick which was turned in through a medley of players with two minutes to play this completed the scoreline.

Second Game Drew 1-1

Team Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innnes,Thomas Van Gucci,Jordan Lawson,Tremayne Barrett,Malcolm Blinder(Jamie Smith),Locky. Half time changes in brackets.

The lads knew this game was going to be hard fought and Cameron Innes and Thomas Van Gucci defended and marked players as asked to give us a good starting point.A Didcot defender handled in the box and Cameron Innnes despatched the penalty in off the post. This game was tense with both sides going for the win. Didcot grabbed an equalizer after a missed defensive clearance, the lads played very well in this game to secure an overall 3-2 win.

Third Game Lost 1-2

Team Jack Tutton,Kieron Massingham,James Rule,Malcolm Blinder(Ross McMahon Half time)(Cameron Innes last 5mins of Second half for RMc),Jamie Smith (Leyton Brandon Half time)(Jordan Lawson last 5mins of Second half for LB),Cameron Gray,Locky(Tate Rogers Half time)

This game saw us go two nil down in the first half but we came back into the game and Leyton Brandon scored a great placed freekick from a tight angle in the second half to lift the team sprits.

All the lads this morning gave everything and each played a game or a game and a half and Tremayne Barrett played two games,We were a bit light on the ground for numbers this morning due to Joesph Dunning and Robbie Morton breaking thier arms on the playground this week and everyone wishes them a speedy recovery.

Thanks to Tony Rogers who reffed all three games for me this morning.

Well done lads another great result.
