Chalgrove-Away

First Game
Chalgrove 1 Oxford City Colts 2
Team Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers, Thremanye Barratt,Ross McMahon,Jack Tutton,Lester Davies,Joesph Hastings.

We didnt look like we were switched on or interested in the way we arrived or the warm up or listening to instructions and this pattern continued into the game, We did have the lion share of possession and as their manager said we were camped in their half of the pitch for 90% of the total game but we failed to score. Half time 0-0, after a team talk at half time we seemed to go out with more direction but fell behind to a break away goal that was very well taken, this was the only thing that would wake these boys up this morning and they responded straight away from the restart with a looping shot from Lester Davies that went through the goalies legs then a superb strike from wide of the penalty box top corner from Jack Tutton with less than a minute left. Great team sprit in the end and getting a result when we looked dead and buried, great response after a slow start lads.

Second Game
Chalgrove 0 Oxford City Colts 0
Team Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Thomas Van Gucci,Jordan Lawson,Joesph Dunning,Thomas Dunning,Robbie Morton.

This game had everything and was very gripping with chances at both ends, three one on ones on goal for us that should have been finished, great defending from Thomas Van Gucci and Cameron Innes at the back and a solid team performance from everyone else in the team.
The best team and individual displays of the morning were in this team but unluckily they didn't get the result.

Third Game
Chalgrove 3 Oxford City Colts 0
Team
Jordan Lawson,Ben Smith,James Rule,Malcolm Blinder,Cameron Gray,James Smith,Cameron.

This team played the team that played our first game team and lost 2-0 in the first half and the team that played our second game team won the second half team 1-0, considering the amount of games that some of these lads have played it was a great result.

All the lads this morning that attended played a whole game of 20 minutes each and have gained valuable experience from it and all enjoyed it.
Well done everyone and keep working hard.

Summertown B-Home

1st Game 4-0
Team Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barratt,Ross McMahon,Lester Davies,Jack Tutton,Leyton Brandon.

The team played well and worked hard, first half goals from Leyton Brandon and Jack Tutton,In the Second half we could have passed the ball much better to each other and moved into space after the pass,as discussed at half time and as we have practised at training but they are still learning, A further goal from Leyton Brandon and a freekick from Jack Tutton completed the scoreline.

2nd Game 1-0
Team Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Thomas Van Gucci,Robbie Morton,Thomas Dunning,Jordan Lawson,Joesph Hastings.

Again the team worked hard and defended well and for the second week and we have stopped conceding goals, the only goal of the game coming in the first half from a very struck strike from Robbie Morton.

3rd Game 0-1
Team Jack Tutton,Kieron Massingham,Ross McMahon(Joesph Hastings),Joesph Dunning,James,Ben Smith,Cameron Gray. Sub in Brackets made at Half time.

This Game was very even and everyone who came long this morning played at least 20 minutes, the game had chances at both ends but Summertown scored in the second half to win this game.

Another enjoyable mornings football and all the boys enjoyed it !!

Summertown Stars-Away

First Game 0-1 OCC
Team Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Joesph Dunning,Malcolm Blinder,James(Ben Smith HT),Jamie Smith(James 18min),Cameron Gray. Sub Ben Smith

Very even game with chances created by both sides but a long range looping shot from Cameron Innes settled the result.

Second Game 0-2 OCC
Team Kieron Massingham,Thremayne Barratt,Tate Rogers,Lester Davies,Jack Tutton,Ross McMahon,Leyton Brandon.

We started slow and looked very shakey which is unusual, must have been something to do with the Weather and the early morning frost but we were a sleep until we scored in the second half,Leyton Brandon picked the ball up wide left, beat two defenders and finished in the top right corner of the goal from wide left of the penalty area, a fantastic goal, all of a sudden we woke up and shut people down and created many more chances,Ross McMahon finished a cross from Lester Davies after good work on the right wing.

Third Game 1-2 OCC
Team Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Thomas Van Gucci,Thomas Dunning,Robbie Morton,Jordan Lawson,Joesph Hastings.

Another good game to watch, all the lads gave 110% and were rewarded with a two goal lead at half time, Goals from Cameron Innes and Thomas Dunning after great work by everyone.Thomas Dunning should have been awarded a penalty in the last few minutes after being fouled as he was about to shoot by the penalty spot but the ref decided on a freekick just outside the box to everyone's amazement, from the resulting freekick Summertown broke and scored, but hey thats football.I had to explain to Joesph Dunning why the penalty had not been given which was difficult, I said even Premiership and International referees get it wrong, everyone makes a mistake, even players as well!!

Fantastic mornings football and it will get even colder for all the Mums!!

Reading Town Mini-Tournament

First Posted: 26.10.2006
After an invitation to attend this Mini six a side tournament involving six teams between 3pm and 5pm this was great fun and such a great experience for this young side.

Team Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Tate Rogers,Jack Tutton,Ross McMahon,Lester Davies,Leyton Brandon,Thermayne Barrett.
The team rotated and changed with each game.

First Game against Litton FC from Wiltshire 0 OCC 3

A great start with a 3-0 win with Two goals coming straight from Jack Tutton corners. The other goal was a close finish by Jack Tutton to complete his hat trick, the team as a whole defended well and shut people down early.

Second Game against Stevenage from Hertfordshire 0 OCC 4

This team we played were a very good footballing side and passed the ball much better than us,but our workrate and defending allowed us to counter attack which we did with cinical finishing, Score 4-0 Goalscorers Thermayne Barrett,Jack Tutton(2)and Leyton Brandon.

Third Game Woodley Hammers From Reading area 0 OCC 0

This game was even with few chances for both teams. 0-0, Great saves from our goalie stopped us conceding in this game.

Fourth Game Bicester Town Colts 0 OCC 3

This game was an entertaining game with Jack Tutton grabbing another hat trick, The team are beginning to gel and warm up after three games we are beginning to pass the ball better.

Fifth Game Grove Challengers 1 OCC 2

This game for the players was disapointing as they told me, that the goal concended didn't need to have happened as it was down to an individual mistake, Goals from Ross McMahon and Lester Davies gave us a 2-0 lead before we conceded.

All the players involved really loved it and were really hyper all day !! Brilliant, Some players I was told by Mums woke up and wore their OCC kit all day until 3pm when we kicked off, Priceless !!

Thanks To Martin McMahon,Dougie Innes and Tony Rogers for there help in the warm up and during matches, child minding and giving up thier time for the afternoon.
