Radley-Away

First game 1-0

Team
Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Tate Rogers,Lester Davies,Jack Tutton,Ross McMahon,Leyton Brandon.

We all knew this was possibly going to be the hardest game of our season, Radley were unbeaten in the U6's,U7's and current U8's seasons and are a well disciplined and organised side, after drawing 2-2 away last season we were all hopeful of ending their excellent run over this long period. We started very strongly and had them pinned back for long periods and looked the most likely to score, Excellent chances falling to Jack Tutton and Leyton Brandon who were guilty of not hitting the target ! and Lester Davies hitting the post but Radley scored with their only shot of the game which was an excellent volley after we switched off at a throw in and allowed the cross to be put in too easily. The score line could have easily been 1-4 but in football if you dont score you don't win !! I was very pleased with the performance, movement, passing, marking, but we have forgotten how to score which has usually not been a problem.

Second Game 1-0

Team
Kieron Massingham,Thomas Van Gucci,Thermayne Barrett,Robbie Morton,Thomas Dunning,Joesph Dunning,Jordan Lawson.

This was a very even game and Radley created more chances than we did but again a brave performance from everyone, But again I think shooting practice at home in the garden and training is required.

Third Game 0-1

Team
Jack Tutton,(Kieron Massingham),Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes(Ross McMahon),Tate Rogers(Lester Davies),(Thremayne Barrett),Leyton Brandon(Jack Tutton),James,Cameron Gray.
Half time changes in brackets

Again an even game with Radley scoring the only goal.

Again another great morning of football with all players improving each week and enjoying it.

Abingdon - Home

First Game 2-2

Team
Kieron Massingham,Cameron Innes,Tate Rogers,Lester Davies,Jack Tutton,Ross McMahon,Leyton Brandon.

This game was always going to be close as both first teams were unbeaten in their first three games of the season and the large crowd were not disappointed by the quality and pace of football played by both sides in this game. Abingdon open the scoring in the first couple of minutes, after we should have cleared the ball.

We equalized after a superb volley from Leyton Brandon after the ball had come over his head in the box. Half time 1-1, After a team talk at half time all the team agreed they could all play better and give a little bit more. Abingdon scored direct from a corner which went in off the far post. The team responded very well with a well earned equalizer after long periods of possession and pressure in the second half the goal scored in the box by Leyton Brandon. This was a great game to watch for the neutrals but not the managers or parents!

Second game 1-1

Team
Kieron Massingham,Thomas Van Gucci,Robbie Morton,Thomas Dunning,Thremayne Barratt,Jordon Lawson,Joesph Hastings.

This game started very well with both teams competing to gain an advantage, Robbie Morton scored a screamer from half way between the penalty box and the half way line which was unstoppable. After half time we continued to create more chances than our visitors but for all the possession we couldn't score and then after a lapse of defending for one moment it cost us the win.

In a friendly third game we won 1-0 after an own goal in the first half, this game had a mixture of both teams and players who hadn't been involved in the first two games who played the whole game.

Well done to all the lads this morning for a great display of football at this young age.

We started this game very well and created numerous chances but couldn't finish any of them
The Second Half was very much the same with Lester Davies hitting the post after a run down the right wing.Jack Tutton Scored from wide left of the goal to secure the win in the second half,A Great high save from Kieron Massingham was needed to keep the win and solid defending from Tate Rogers and Cameron Innes.

Second Game 1-0

Team
Kieron Massingham,Thomas Van Gucci,Robbie Morton,Jamie Smith,Malcolm Blinder,Joesph Hastings,Cameron Gray.

This game was very even, end to end match with both teams having chances,Solid defending from Thomas Van Gucci and Robbie Morton allowed the others to attack, Malcolm Blinder was clean through in the first half but the goalie made a great save. The goal came from a goal mouth scramble in the second half when Joesph Hastings finished well from close range in the goal mouth to secure the win.
